Dense Medium Cyclone

Two-product heavy medium cyclone features a simple structure, convenient operation, large throughput capacity, high efficiency in dry coal processing, high separation efficiency, multi-angle arrangement, imported high alumina ceramics for long wear resistance, low feed pressure, and low energy consumption. The two-product heavy medium cyclone consists of a column and cone structure. The material is mixed with qualified suspension in the mixing barrel, pumped into the cyclone, and separated by centrifugal force based on density into two products: light product and heavy product. The light product is discharged through the fine coal pipe via the inner cyclone, while the heavy product exits through the outer cyclone into the gangue outlet.


Technical Characteristics

  • The developed ultra-large-diameter heavy medium cyclones have demonstrated an actual increase in dry coal processing capacity by more than 20% compared to the theoretical values. The maximum processing capacity can reach up to 1000t/h to meet the technical requirements.
  • Patent structural design (centrifugal volute and spiral-type feeding body), allowing for customized structural parameters based on coal quality, process, and indicator parameters to meet on-site production requirements and achieve optimal performance (Ep≤0.05kg/l, separation efficiency ≥98%)
  • Optional integration of Haiwang's independently developed intelligent control and detection technology, enabling coordinated operation between the quality of heavy medium products and density control. The cyclone can be equipped with a lining life warning system and blockage alarm.
  • Use of high alumina ceramics, a special type of ceramic produced through mold pressing and high-temperature firing, with each ceramic matching the typical requirements for the arc and shape of the cyclone. The special high alumina ceramics have an alumina content of over 95%, exhibiting a typical uniform structure of alumina particles and excellent sintering characteristics, enhancing wear resistance.

Application

The product is primarily used in processes such as pre-desliming heavy medium separation, primary and secondary selection processes for coking coal, raw coal gangue removal processes, and skip-screening and re-selection processes for mid-coal, among others.
