Hydrocyclones are widely applied in grinding classification, concentration, dewatering, desliming, ultrafine classification and tailings filling, damming, recovery and other processes in mineral processing, coal washing, sand washing and etc. The business spreads over thousands of mines throughout the country and the products have been exported to more than forty countries and regions, such as Australia and Russia etc.
Having features simple configuration, low production cost, high processing capacity, high separation efficiency, and adjustable performance, demonstrating strong adaptability. The application of water medium cyclones in coal selection involves using them as the main separation equipment in a gravity coal selection method based on particle density differences. In this process, the coarse coal slurry enters the water medium cyclone under pressure, undergoes rotational motion along the cyclone cylinder wall, and, under the influence of centrifugal force and gravity, high-density materials gradually pass through the air column to enter the outer cyclone flow, while low-density materials gradually enter the central air column, thereby achieving material separation based on density.
Water medium cyclones are commonly used in the coarse coal slurry separation of easily separable coal or in the separation process of fine-grained minerals with large density differences.
