Working Principle

The thickener utilizes gravity settling and flocculation to concentrate solids. Slurry mixed with flocculant enters the feedwell, spreads uniformly, and forms a mud bed where solids settle. The rising liquid is filtered through this bed, while the rake mechanism consolidates and discharges the thickened sludge.
